Jason Binab

Jason Binab has lived in Victoria since the age of 12. He moved here from Port Alberni and attended St. Michael's University School for grades 7 through 12 and met many amazing friends from all over the world.

Jason worked for BC Ferries for 7 years where he met many of his friends and clients. In 2001 Jason moved to Vancouver to pursue an acting career. While coaching hockey for two years at the Arbutus Club in Vancouver he met one of his player's parents who was,and is still one of Vancouver's top Realtors. This introduction made Jason realize how he could use his love of people and houses and merge them into one successful profession.

In 2005 Jason relocated back to Victoria, which he always considered home, to begin his career in Real Estate. He quickly learned what it takes to succeed. Early in 2006 he co-founded an award winning team and instantly his business began to grow. As Team leader, his team won numerous awards which included**: 100% Club, Platinum, Chairman, Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement, Top 100 Teams in Canada, Top Team in Victoria and Vancouver Island (**based on RE/MAX statistics). On a local level has Jason won Gold consecutively from 2006 to 2016, and a special Gold Award for 10 consecutive years of Gold Awards. In his first complete year at Engel & Völkers he won a special award for being in the Top 10 Teams in North America (based on EV stats)

In 2012 he formed the Binab Group where he currently he is working with team members Sarah Binab (his sister) and Rodney Henderson, along with executive assistant Melanie Mann and his wife Amber Binab. Jason and his team consistently deliver award winning service combined with aggressive and modern marketing techniques. Marketing and branding has been one of Jason and his team's most important success factors. Jason understands and utilizes marketing and branding to help his clients sell their current homes and purchase their next home.

After auditioning against many of Victoria's top Realtors, Jason was chosen to be the host of the TV show Design District. On the show Jason works as a realtor, and provides his advice about renovations and market values. The first year was a tremendous success and local Victoria achievement. Jason and the rest of the cast filmed a second season which went well also. For 2014 he filmed 3 Episodes for an International Real Estate Show that will be released in 2015 and will be extremely powerful for the Brand. Very exciting news for local Victoria talent. Currently he is filming a new You Tube Series which incorporates two of Jason's loves : Exotic Cars and Luxury Real Estate. Stay tuned for upcoming episodes featuring Jason Binab and his friends Tim Quocksister and Joel Friesen of Silver Arrows Cars along with some fabulous rare exotic supercars and beautiful Real Estate. This concept is unlike anything else currently on TV.

Jason came to Engel and Völkers Vancouver Island in 2015. Engel and Völkers is recognized as one of the World's Premier Luxury Real Estate Brands with over 7600 agents worldwide and over 500 shops in 39 Countries. What drew Jason and the team most to Engel and Völkers was the Luxury Marketing they provide and their Motto of "Every Home is a Mansion".

Jason is married to Amber Binab and they have two sons, Benson and Jamison. They live in Oak Bay where they built a new home with their children and dog Lily (long haired Chihuahua). Family is very important to Jason and Amber. Jason lives close to his parents and is very close with his 2 brothers, Rommy and Justin and his sister Sarah. His sister Sarah is a licensed Realtor and also works with Jason on Binab Group.

Also dear to Jason are his sporting passions. He is extremely involved in cycling and hockey. He has sponsored local cycling teams and athletes, as well as sponsoring the local Junior A team, the Victoria Grizzlies and UVIC Vikings hockey along with Victoria Minor Hockey teams.

Jason specializes in Residential Real Estate and Luxury Home Marketing in Victoria, BC with sales in houses, condominiums, townhouses, strata duplexes and recreational properties. 2016 was a monumental year for Jason and one in which he sold 122 listings and over 160 million dollars in Real Estate (based on VREB stats from MLS system).

Recently Jason went to Miami for the North American Engel & Völkers conference where he was inducted into Private Office (select group of approx 100 agents worldwide, out of over 8000) and Binab Group won #1 Team in North America for sides closed and #2 in North America for GCI.
